Natural fireworks for New Years!

Join us on our special midnight bioluminescent kayak tour for New Years!

We will embark on a 2-hour midnight bioluminescent tour to enjoy this natural phenomenon.

Kayak between islands looking at the bioluminescence below, the stars above and then the fireworks from all around.

We have great view of the mountains and if it is clear we can see all the way to Monteverde.

Practical details:
– Departure from: The beach at Bahia Rica Fishing & Kayak Lodge
– Departure time: 23:00
– Duration: Approximately 2 hours
– Kayaking experience: Beginner level
– Age limit: 10 years (for family tours, please contact us for more information)
– Weight Limit: 250 Pounds / 115 kg (please contact us if you have concerns)
– Capacity: Minimum 2 and maximum 12 persons
– Please do not consume alcohol before the kayak tour

– Sea kayak rental and safety equipment

Rent a Stand Up Paddle Board here at Bahia Rica, and enjoy a beautiful day on the water!

We have very good SUP boards from Hobie, and the calm gulf water makes for a tranquil padle where you really can take in the views and spot wildlife along shore, or in the water. Standing up on the board gives you an excellent angle in order to see fish, rays and other marine life.

Explore the Paquera Bio Bay both on a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) and in a sea kayak.
Have fun and get some exercise on a SUP or even do a little afternoon yoga session on it. Or just paddle your SUP around in the calm gulf water exploring.

Chill in the hammocks under the palm trees enjoying a little tropical snack, while watching the the beautiful sunset in the bay, waiting for it to get dark.

Paddle boarding delivers a full-body workout and thus has become a popular cross-training activity. And since you stand at your full height, you can enjoy unique views of everything from sea creatures to what’s on the horizon.

SUPs have been spotted around the globe, anywhere where there is easy access to safe waters, as well as the surfing line ups of the world – and now also at Bahia Rica Fishing & Kayak Lodge. The rise in popularity of stand up paddle-boarding can also be attributed to how easy it is to learn. Within a very short time, you can become comfortable in the water and on your board.
You can take the SUP’s out for a fun day with your friends or even do your yoga exercises on the SUP. Come enjoy this awesome sport with us, rent a board and get out on the beautiful Gulf of Nicoya.

We’re on national TV

Teletica Canal 7 the most popular TV channel in Costa Rica is broadcasting from the event we had here at Bahia Rica kayak and fishing lodge the first week of October: The World Skill competitions in Sport fishing (INA Olympiadas).

The program was boradcasted in the program “7dias”.
