We’re excited to share that we now have even more unique accommodations for you to enjoy! In addition to our main lodge, we now offer three island houses on Isla Cedros, just a quick five-minute boat ride away.

 

Perched atop a hill, these cozy, newly renovated houses boast stunning ocean views on both sides. Surrounded by lush tropical greenery, the vibe here is relaxed, authentic, and quintessentially Costa Rican. Your only neighbors will be friendly local fishermen, adding to the charm of this serene island escape.

Whales, whales and more whales!

The whales are in and our waters have some of the best whale watching opportunities around. Lots of humpback moms with babies. It is common to also see dolphins, turtles and sometimes other types of whales as well.
Do not miss out on the opportunity to a close encounter with these gentle giants. We see them plentiful here in the Gulf of Nicoya in August, September and some whales hang out for a while in October and November as well.

The whales have arrived!

Whales migrating from both hemispheres pass by Costa Rica, so you have a pretty good chance of seeing whales if you are here in the right season.

We have now spotted the first Humpback whales for this year. It was a mom with her baby, and the baby put up quite a show breaching close to our boat.
