About Prices and confirmation

Prices are subject to change. Prices are locked once an order is placed. The only way to guarantee a specific price is to place the order and do the payment at the time the quote is initially received. All prices are in US Dollars.

Your reservation is not confirmed until payment has been received.

 

Cancellation policy

Cancellations by client:
- Cancellations between 14-07 days prior guest arrival we will apply 50% of the total amount of your reservation.
- Cancellations within 7 days before guest arrival 100% is non-refundable

Cancellations by Bahia Rica:
In the event that an activity is canceled by Bahia Rica or not available we will provide alternative options. The options being a full refund, or rescheduling.

Bahia Rica reserves the right to conduct tours regardless of weather. The tours will not be cancelled due to weather as long as the conditions are still safe.

 

Participants Agreements

All participants must check if there are any weigh restrictions to the particular activity prior to making the reservation. Participants must also be able to comfortably fit into the required gear.

 

Some of our tours are physical active activities. Individuals should consult with their medical provider if any question exists about their physical ability to participate in our tours.

 

Certificates

Safety, first aid and emergency response is something everyone who gets on any type of activity should be aware of. Also on a kayak or boat excursions it is important to travel with a company who is prepared. Bahia Rica has invested in our captains and guides. The boat crew has all has completed an extensive course in “zafarranchos” or emergency response and the kayak crew have first aid and kayak training.
 

The Tourism Declaration

Bahia Rica has earned the The Tourism Declaration from ICT.
The Tourism Declaration is an acknowledgment granted by the Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT).

For this, one must comply with technical, financial, and legal requirements indicated in the Regulation for Tourism Activities and Companies.

Our mission is to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and part of that goal is remembering our own impact. The Tourism Declaration program evaluates each tourism company based on the degree to which its operations comply to a model of sustainability.

These requirements guarantee the legality of the tourism activities and reach one of the main objectives of the department; they also contribute in the accomplishment of the highest quality of Costa Rican tourism products.
 

Insurance

Bahia Rica Adventures Ltda has a liability insurance policy with INS (Instituto Nacional de Seguros). It covers the implicitly risks on our tours and it compromises the tourists to follow exactly the norms described in the internal operations rules of Costa Rican law in adventure tourism and under the executive law # 29421-MEIC-TUR.
