Our Private Isla Tortuga Boat Tour is a full-day, all-inclusive experience designed exclusively for your group. Enjoy a relaxed day on this tropical island — swim in warm waters, explore the coral reefs, or simply unwind in a hammock under the palm trees. A fresh beachside lunch and refreshing drinks are all part of your day in this tropical paradise.
Along the way, we’ll make a special stop at a small island where a troop of spider monkeys lives. These curious and playful animals often come down to the shore, offering a rare and unforgettable encounter.
This private boat tour runs from 9:00 a.m. to around 3:30 p.m., giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy the best the area has to offer. Departure time is flexible, if you want to make more of the day, just let us know – we can start earlier.
The journey itself is a highlight. Traveling on your own private boat means you set the pace — no crowds, no waiting. With just your group on board, you’ll receive personalized service and attention from our experienced crew.
As we cruise through the calm waters of the Gulf of Nicoya, keep an eye out for dolphins, rays, sea turtles, and during certain times of the year, even humpback whales. Halfway to Isla Tortuga, we’ll detour to visit Isla Nancital, home to the famous spider monkeys that often appear at the water’s edge.
At Isla Tortuga, we anchor near one of the island’s best snorkeling spots. Here, you can dive into crystal-clear water and explore volcanic reefs alive with tropical fish — it’s like swimming in an open-air aquarium. We provide all snorkeling gear and safety equipment, and our guides are happy to join you in the water for assistance or company.
After snorkeling, you’ll be welcomed at our shaded lunch area on the beach at Isla Tortuga where drinks, fruit, and a light tropical meal await — fish, turkey, or vegetarian (please order in advance).
Isla Tortuga is a popular tourist spot and the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy however you wish — swim, stroll the beach, hike to viewpoints, or simply relax in a hammock. You can also rent kayaks, paddleboards or banana rides if you’re feeling adventurous.
Before we return to the mainland, take a moment to soak in the views and maybe sip a fresh coconut — a perfect way to end your beach time.
Keep your camera ready! Besides the spider monkeys, Isla Tortuga is home to deer, collared peccaries (wild pigs), iguanas, ctenosaurs, and many bird species including parrots and seabirds. Walking the trails may reward you with up-close encounters and breathtaking panoramic views.
